Acrylic Painting

I am an intuitive painter. My best work is when I let the right part of my brain direct the strokes at the beginning and I “respond” layer by layer until the painting becomes the story that needed to be shared…sometimes troubled and messy, occasionally light and bubbly. I see my canvases as projections of my constantly changing inner landscape. I create vibrant, bold, mixed media paintings that evoke emotion. I love the versatility and boundless freedom that acrylics can offer. Various marks, textile and collage materials peek through the layers adding depth and character to the unfolding stories. My recent work depicts some of the themes that emerged in the past 2 years, one of the most intense living experiences that most of us have ever experienced. It represents a journey expressing basic human emotions- fear, hope, strength, turmoil, antifragility, etc, in the context of rapidly changing social and geopolitical landscape.
