The challenge in abstract painting is always in the spontaneous decisions the painter makes. To not overthink, to discover the energy inherent in the canvas and colour placements, and to know when to stop.
I paint fluidly and abstractly, in the moment. With really just a colour palette selected, and without brushwork, I pour, tilt, swipe and spin, producing happy interactions of colour and shape. |
